Growing up in the 70s, we had lots of people coming into our primary school entertaining the children. We were youngsters and I can remember a policeman, fireman, and pantomime dame coming into my school entertaining us, making the children laugh and making the children feel part of something.

So what is this video about ?

The extreme far-right post shows that they are now concentrating on attacking “drag queens“.

They believe that drag queens going into a library entertaining children is somewhat called “grooming“.

One definition of grooming is as follows:-

..”the action by a paedophile of preparing a child for a meeting, especially via an internet chat room, with the intention of committing a sexual offence.

"online grooming has become a growing cause for concern"…

Other definitions “ Grooming is when someone builds a relationship, trust and emotional connection with a child or young person so they can manipulate, exploit and abuse them. Children and young people who are groomed can be sexually abused, exploited or trafficked”.

So what was this drag queen doing in a primary school and what is a drag queen?

A drag queen is a person, usually male, who uses drag clothing and makeup to imitate and often exaggerate female gender signifiers and gender roles for entertainment purposes. In modern times, drag queens are associated with gay men and gay culture, but people of other genders and sexual identities also perform as drag queens.

This drag queen was reading from a book entertaining children.

I grew up going to pantomimes, famous actors dressing up in womenswear taking the parts of leading characters . Peter Pan, the Prince in Cinderella and many more. I never changed my sexual identity nor did it ever influence what I became as an adult. It did the opposite. I loved the theatre so much I studied drama and the Arts.

The extreme far-right believe that by stirring up hatred against drag queens that somehow, their very young children will change sexual identity or be groomed without even understanding what that word actually means.

Of course, they will start their hatred against Jews again once they’ve got tired of harassment against the #lgbtq community.

You may disagree with what is happening here, however… if it’s not the Jews.. and not the drag queens who else will they target ?
